python-matplotlib-dbg software package provides Python based plotting system (debug extension), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-matplotlib-dbg
python-matplotlib-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-matplotlib-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-matplotlib-dbg *
You will get with python-matplotlib-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
